the Artist

Painting has been a lifelong passion of mine. In the canton of Aargau, I first discovered Appenzell peasant painting. Then, in Thurgau, I began painting with pastels, and since 2003, I have been painting exclusively in oils. Art means a great deal to me.

However, I can't really decide on just one style. My paintings are influenced by realism at times, impressionism at others, or modernism.

In St. Gallen, I attended numerous continuing education courses at the vocational school, and in Hungary, I attended the independent artists' academy in Kendlimajor. Renowned Hungarian artists like Mág Tamás and Lichtenweiler Zoltán, who accompanied me when I lived in Keszthely from 2013 to 2017, teach there. During this time, I created many works of art in my studio.

I love beauty and nature. Hence the many flower paintings and landscapes. Depending on my mood, I create my paintings in a quiet environment or to classical music. This way, I completely lose track of time and live in the artistic creation of my works.

Art, like playing the violin, is a kind of meditation for me. A moment in the here and now, where I reflect the wonders of creation in my own unique way.

As a mother of two grown daughters and a grandmother of three grandchildren, there's always something going on. I enjoy all the moments spent with my family.
